Ivan Saval is a veteran investment banker with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, specialized in providing high-impact strategic and financial advice to the global agriculture, food, and bioeconomy sectors. As the founder of Selcius Partners, he leads an independent boutique advisory firm that bridges the gap between disruptive innovators and institutional capital, focusing on the technologies and business models reshaping the global food system. 
 
Over the past 15 years, Mr. Saval has dedicated his practice exclusively to the AgTech and Agribusiness verticals. His expertise spans the entire capital structure, including mergers and acquisitions, private capital raises, and complex recapitalizations. He has a proven track record of advising both domestic and cross-border clients, ranging from multinational enterprises to high-growth startups. Notable transaction experience includes the successful sale of CoverCress to Bayer, Symborg to Corteva, and the recapitalization and subsequent sale of Marrone Bio to Bioceres—a transaction recognized as Latin America’s M&A Deal of the Year in 2024. 
 
Prior to founding Selcius Partners, Mr. Saval served as Managing Director and Head of Agribusiness Investment Banking at ROTH Capital Partners. His earlier career was forged at leading bulge-bracket and middle-market firms, including JPMorgan Chase, UBS, BNP Paribas, and CIBC World Markets, where he held senior roles in leveraged finance and financial sponsors groups. He also spent seven years at StoneX Group (formerly INTL FCStone), where he developed a specialized niche in seed-to-plate supply chain advisory. 
 
A recognized thought leader in agricultural finance, Mr. Saval is frequently engaged by boards and executive teams to navigate commercialization frictions and optimize corporate structures within the AgTech and Agribusiness sectors. His practice focuses on driving capital formation and executing strategic M&A, ensuring enterprises are positioned for long-term growth and successful exits. He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a B.A. in International Business, Economics, and Spanish from Ball State University, with additional international study programs completed at ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, and HEC Paris in Jouy-en-Josas, France.
